Trustees of Mendon School
I will engage with you on these conditions.
That you pay me $100.00 per annum for teaching your school, one third cash, one third produce, at cash rates, and one third stock at cash rates.
(Proviso) If cash should be scarce, I will take produce at cash prices.
2nd— You also give me a city lot as near to the school house, as you can, and a farm lot, of five acres, with water privileges for both lots.
3rd— If I should stay in Mendon, two years, both lots to become my property, weather I have any connection with the school or not.
I shall also want you to put me up a house on the lot for which I will pay.1
