This group played for many community celebrations such as May Day, the Twenty-Fourth of July, the Fourth of July, Old Folks Reunion and the Christmas celebrations. They also played for dances of all types and kinds in other communities as well. Many of the early Cache Valley towns had or tried to have a band such as this. It was a matter of community pride to say yours was the best! In the days prior to television and radio, your only source of entertainment was that which you and your fellow townsmen made. This is true of the drama organizations as well. This photograph is undated, but my best guess is around 1904.
