Mary Ann Jensen Sorensen ~ Index
Daughter of Jacob and Mary Olsen Jensen. Mary was baptized into the church on June 18th, 1855 in Denmark. She came to America with her family in 1857, journeying with the family whose son, Abraham Sorensen, she later married. They sailed on the vessel Westmoreland. They journeyed by wagon and ox team to Omaha and then to Great Salt Lake City. They made their home in Mill Creek.
Mary and Abraham were married in 1858 in Mill Creek, Utah, and moved to Mendon, in Cache County. Mary became the mother of nine children. She was active in church work. The family moved out of Mendon and back four times.
Mary died on April 13th, 1928 in Mendon at the age of 90 years.
